Community Visioning and Planning – “Resources for Growth”

Communities and Governments often face unique challenges because their community or region expects them to create an economic development strategy for their region as part of a community vision or comprehensive plan. In addition to the nonprofit services available to an individual community or government agency, SSI offers Community Development Planning services that includes:

• Get Strategy – Our Community Visioning/Strategic planning process focuses on bring key community
  stakeholders to the table, articulating a clear vision for the future of your region and creating buy-in and
  commitment and alignment.   With a focus on action planning, implementation and strategic return on
  investment, your plan will become a project management tool that leads to your success.

• Get Global – Determine your region’s global positioning strategy (what makes your region unique through industry cluster and location quotient analysis) and identify new/emerging industry clusters. 

   

• Public Involvement – Through conducting a “roles and players” analysis, SSI facilitates a process to identify an “ideal model” for the economic development system in your region and works with to align the missions and work of the agency “players” in the system to produce results.  SSI can also conduct research to identify private sector needs and expectations and facilitate industry partnerships to grow key economic development clusters.  SSI also facilitates public involvement for economic development initiatives. 

• Get It Done – “Rent” a professional project manager or facilitator when your company needs to implement a new project or initiative and you don’t have the skills or capacity internally.
